Halcyon Hot Springs is situated on the eastern shores of the magnificent Upper Arrow Lakes in central British Columbia. The Arrow Lakes run from Revelstoke in the north, south to Castlegar and are the main drainage system foran area known as the West Kootenays. A short free ferry ride makes getting to Halcyon easy and delightful!
Halcyon Hot Springs is 68 km south of Revelstoke, and approximately 475 km from Calgary. Onthe southern approach, Halcyon Hot Springs is 32 km north of Nakusp, 280 km from Kelowna, 785 km from Vancouver and 425 km from Spokane.
The area is accessed in the north by the Upper Arrow Lake Ferry, which travels between Shelter Bay and Galena Bay connecting Highway 23.
Highway 6 in the south is connected by the Lower Arrow Lake ferry crossing at Needles. Communities along the routes include Slocan, Nakusp, the Sandon Ghost town and Shelter Bay.

Across the Lower Arrow Lake, about 59 kilometres south of Nakusp on Highway 6, between Fauquier and Needles.
Every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour from Fauquier 5:00 am – 10:00 pm
Every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour from Needles 5:15 am – 9:45pm
Shuttle Service 10:00 pm - 5:00 am

Upper Arrow Lakes Ferry – Galena Bay & Shelter Bay
Across Upper Arrow Lake, 49 kilometres south of Revelstoke (Highway 1) on Highway 23, between Shelter Bay and Galena Bay.
The D.E.V. Galena sails from Shelter Bay 5:00 am – 12:00am (midnight) and from Galena Bay 5:30 am – 12:30 am.
In addition to the above D.E.V. Galena schedule, the seasonal vessel M.V. Shelter Bay operates in Shuttle Mode between 9:00 a.m. and approximately 7:00 p.m. daily from May 21 - to October 11, 2010.
